Tushbaby Liftoff Sling?
Has anyone tried the Tushbaby Liftoff Sling? I used the hip carrier when my daughter was a baby and loved it! She’s now 2.5 years old and constantly goes back and forth between wanting to walk and wanting to be carried, but it’s hard on my back to carry her for long periods using just my arms.
The hip carrier is a little too bulky for my needs these days and I’m newly pregnant so won’t be able to use it much longer anyhow. I like the idea of the sling since I can just leave it draped around my body when she’s on her feet or fold it up into a purse or diaper bag, but it’s kind of expensive and I haven’t seen many reviews so I’m reluctant to purchase it just yet.

This just sounds like an inferior variation on a ring sling that’s designed to make moms doubt their ability to use something as historically useful as a ring sling. I would get a used ring sling for like $30 and spend the extra money on an in-person or virtual fit check consult with a babywearing educator if you are doubting yourself after watching videos etc.

We have a section in our wiki about these. Automod wiki
TLDR; these are trendy now. They’re carry assists only (not hands-free!), and it’s important to pick one that has a large seat for kiddo and shoulder fabric that spreads for you. Don’t buy the ones that just have a strap on your shoulder. Neko’s Up & Down and Qookie’s Go are the two most recommended by educators.
