Discussion Favorite Rack Gear?

I recently made a post asking for your favorite rack gear and understandably it was a bit confusing because I did not clearly communicate my goals. You did however send me some really fun ideas that I will explore.

Clarification:

I have a full digital mixing and mastering workflow that will out perform most analog gear within my budget.

However, im looking to add to my workflow with some gear that can add some analog character to my recordings. Im specifically looking for some more affordable hear that I can apply when recording... and then ill run it through my full digital process.

Question:

Given my use case, do you have any recommendations for gear that can add some color, saturation, maybe even be a bit experimental to add inspiration and some analog character into my mixing process?

Golden Age Pre 73. It was my first piece of outboard gear. It's a cheap take on a Neve 1073 and sounds awesome when pushed.

After that, I'd say maybe look into something like a filter set that can take line level signals, like a Urei 565.
