US Sale Refinancing before 3 months

I recently financed an Ioniq 5 and the dealer told me I can't refi for 3 months. But now that I'm starting to get my ducks in a row for a refi I'm learning that's not true, and that I can technically refi but that salesman will lose his kickback.

I recently asked the salesman for some documents for my refi and asked what date I'm allowed to refi so he doesn't lose his kickback and he sent the docs but won't answer the question about the date.

Should I still wait the 3 months? I don't want to screw him out of a bunch of money.

If you got a good deal from financing and had a good experience, let the 3 months happen. That's where a lot of dealerships make their money on the front end.

You rock. The amount of interest won't even touch the money you saved and your finance person will love you for it.

That's what I figure. I'm looking at saving like $20/month for two more months and he really got me the lowest price.

$40 bucks to help someone out that got you a great deal...seems like the right thing to do.

If you don’t want to screw him out of money, wait 3 months.
