Traded in a Lease prior to payment but still charged for previous vehicle
Seems like I'm SOL but would still like opinions. Ended up at a Honda dealer and traded in my leased 2024 Civic prior to my May payment, they didn't really mention anything in regards to it other than the payoff should arrive immediately and Honda Financial would take care of the rest. Following week I was charged for that car and 4 days later the payoff amount showed up on HF, when I mentioned it to the sales manager the following day they said I should receive a refund in a few business days or if not they'd get a check and forward it to me. Speaking to HF now they said that's wrong and the final payoff amount included that payment that was auto-debted a few days prior. Seems I'm stuck with just paying two cars for May, but is there anything I can/should mention? All I got with my first convo was a "Sorry we probably shoulda had you stop auto-payments" and a shrug lol

You have a payoff amount on your contract. Does that amount match what the dealer sent the lender?
Did the dealer send less than whats on your contract? If they did, then the dealer owes you the difference.
