US Sale Test driving

Hi all! I’m looking to buy a car sometime middle of next month and I was wondering when should I start test driving? I have a couple different cars in mind but I want to be able to test all of them out before actually buying! TIA!

I start test driving after my internet research is 100% exhausted and can no longer alter my opinion

I think this is probably the smartest way to go about it.

OP, you can probably get 95% of the info you need to know about the cars before you drive them. You can rule cars out without seeing them in person.

I would narrow the list down to 3 or 4 makes and models at most and then start test driving.

As for when, you can go whenever. You're buying next month so the programs will be different and the cars on the ground will be different, but you're close enough to buying to go in and start driving some cars if you want to figure out exactly which make model and trim you want to buy next month.

Piggybacking because I don't have flair.

OP, when you test drive, I would recommend going midweek (ideally during the day if your schedule allows) vs. weekend, just to be cognizant of the salesperson's time. These guys are all commissioned, so it would kind of suck to take an hour of their time when you're truly in the exploratory phase.

Also, if you aren't able to narrow things down to just 1-2 options, I would recommend going to Carmax to test drive. I don't believe their salespeople are commissioned, and most of their stores have a pretty comprehensive selection, so that can be a good way to get a quickly compare an Accord to an Altima to a Camry to a Legacy.
