Australian Sale Do you feel sad when you sell less than other sales?

Hi guys,

i just join the industry at April 2025. Was in another dealership before, always sell 15-20 cars a month. And always sell basically the most or second.

And i resigned to a dealership closer to my home but different brand, in mid December. last month sold 4, and this month so far sold 4 as well. I know it's a quiet month but the other two sales one sold 10 one is 11. It makes me feel so bad. Feels like my manager will disappointed to hire me.

Do you guys feel the same when not sell much? How to get rid of this feeling?

No. There's only thing that should concern you is how many X's you put up on the board. Misery lives in comparison.

This happens to me a lot and the only thing thats really helped me is focusing on me and what im going to do to make a sale.

I get how you feel the anger the depression blah blah blah but when you are selling and top guy becaue of the effort you are putting in, your focus honestly will be on yourself

Put the same effort into a bad month as you do a great month where you sell everything you touch. The fire has to be same. At the end of the month if you are on the bottom but you worked your ass off then its just a matter of time before you are on top. Its the systems that will put you forward. The other guys are gonna have a slump and if you are ready to take over when it happens youll be successful.

Everything you want is on the otherside of the struggle. Dont cower in the corner, get up and starting swinging. Youll find your way.

I say this shit because its tormented my entire career and finally is improving because of the shift i told you about

You need to realize that no one else is going to pay your bills.

What they do or don't do is not your concern.

You’re getting downvoted but I agree. I never compare myself to other salespeople and try not to let emotions get in the way. I have bills and goals that aren’t going to fund themselves.

I find myself frustrated sometimes.

Pushes me to do more but I also try and remember that I can only control what I can control.
