General Any idea what’s going on with this semi truck?
Appears to have jacknifed between the two lanes. Between Badger Springs and Bloody Basin exit. I-17 northbound lane.

I've seen a few other state and city subreddits and thought I'd try it here. What are some of the most unsettling areas in AZ?
In Phoenix near where St. Luke's hospital closed down on Roosevelt. The whole area feels unsettling.

So I’m driving on a 5 lane road with a center turn lane. (I’m the blue rectangle in the photo. The other driver is green). I’m in the left-most lane and merging into the center turn lane to make a left turn. As I am merging, the other driver pulls out from a private street to make a left, but drives straight for several feet into the center lane before merging right. They nearly hit my bumper before merging into the right lane.
While there was no accident, I’m wondering who would be found at fault if they had hit me, since I was merging left into the center lane right as they were merging into the center lane to turn left from a private street. Who has the right of away in this instance?

The summer months are coming and it can get quite hot out here in Arizona. Amazon, FedEx, USPS and UPS will be working their little hearts out for ya. Something that help out during the summer months can be cold water being left out for your delivery driver, making your delivery location easily accessible —- walking far distances especially with heavy packages can be killer.
No one is obligated to help out or anything but it definitely helps!
Edit: just for a clarity on what’s going on with Amazon right meow. They use AI to make our routes recently and it’s giving drivers so many stops that most don’t even have time to take their lunchs on top of bad routing. Amazon drivers are also not directing hired but Amazon, all amazon drivers are hired by companies contracted by Amazon so that they aren’t as responsible for us. They offer water but sometimes they limit us or in out.

Hey everyone
I grew up in AZ and have moved back and forth out of the state quite a bit in my adulthood. Lately I’ve been homesick in a way I haven’t felt before.
It’s mostly nostalgia I think, which most homesickness is maybe.
Maybe this is weird and niche but the Arizona I miss is very purple, like Prickly Pears and the old diamondbacks logo. The Shane Co commercial on the radio, sitting in the garage and watching a rare rainstorm or out the window at a dust storm. Mourning dove calls, you know what I mean?
Maybe very specific but I’m open to anything. Thanks!

Please only share what you are comfortable with. Me personally I am a paramedic and it's quite difficult to make a comfortable living.

We all know that Arizona, whether it be the Navajo nation, Or the Superstition Mountains have there fair share of cryptids, ufos and other bizarre creatures. Does anyone have any story’s to share about your experience sighting a ufo, or seeing a skinwalker? I’m curious to know what have people seen, heard , or experienced. Thanks

I’m guessing that this is a scam text as Arizona doesn’t have toll roads (plus I think my car is under my mom’s name) but all the “scam” text examples I’ve seen online have the name as AZDOT and not ADOT so I wasn’t sure. The language all seems legit too. Do I have to pay this?

There was a post in the Minnesota subreddit about an Arizonan moving to Minnesota and being shocked that there were no walls around properties here.
So I'm wondering, why is it the default in Arizona. I understand the desert climate isn’t ideal for wood, but beyond that—why is this the standard? Is it mostly about privacy? Are there city codes or builder practices that make it the default? Don’t some people prefer a more open feel or being able to see their neighbors?

This poster is from Aaron Draplin, he does these cool posters for the states… but I can’t figure out this one… all of the images have ties to AZ…

Hello! I just had some friends of a friend visit us in Colorado and noticed something strange. Whenever we would go into a store (we took their car alot) they would leave their car running. One of the stores we were in for about an hour and it turned out they left it idling the whole time (they can keep it locked and idling with their fob). I asked about this and they said that it's required living in Arizona cause it's so hot, and that everyone does it. Is this really normal? Seems wasteful.

Graduated from high school yesterday, and my family lives in AZ (I'm from NY), so I did a little tribute to them!

I have had it. This dude in the chat pissed me off. I'm sure they've been swindling me for a VERY long time and only just found out. Check your speeds people! Just Google "internet speed test". A bunch pop up.

I would have never expected to see Saguaros in a non Sonoran desert area. But looks like LAS airport folks are trying to grow them here. Shocking. What do you guys think, will they survive for eternity with proper care ?

I hope someone knows a rescue in the east valley that can help.
My sister got evicted and left her dog in the backyard basically to die.
I just went and fed it and gave him water without her knowing, had to hop the fence and everything. She said yesterday she was going to take him to a shelter but he’s still there.
If anyone knows of a rescue that is accepting dogs please let me know asap!
I don’t want to call the police because they will just take it to a shelter to be euthanized. But I have no idea what to do.
He’s a cane corso btw!
Edit: I am calling a bunch of places you recommended today, I will continue to bring him food and water everyday. I unfortunately cannot take him because I have roommates and one is so allergic to dogs, so I’ve tried that already.
Thanks everyone for your help!
Last update: called the cops on her, she took him to a rescue and they are going to give him shots and surgery for his legs so he can be adopted 🩷🩷

There is such a long and storied history and I love learning more. The ones that come to mind are the Phoenix Lights in 97' and the Yarnell fire in 13'.
