Question Prop question

hi all- im currently making a foam guitar for one of my cosplays but for support i was going to use garden stakes (that have metal in them) to act as support. But im not 100% certain if it will be allowed, my friend had an experience in 2019 where they couldn’t bring in their sword with something similar support wise in it, but its fully enclosed so im just making sure it would be okay, and of not what would be good alternatives? pvc pipes?

Honestly I would’ve gone with pvc pipes to begin with because they’re way lighter than metal garden stakes, and most foams/adhesives bond better to pvc than metal. Definitely try to limit the amount of metal in your props, but other than that, it sounds good. Good luck!

Lowkey anime expo prop policy are lowkey wack and any metal are subjugated to question and i highest suggest you change it to those hard pvc.

Plus if goes through and they let you do that . The metal detector might go off and they might question you. So to keep that from happening pvc is the way to go

Ps plastic is lighter than metal
