Ok, seriously? What’s the point in having such a stirring cliffhanger in the previous episode just to have the common trope of “oh, you’re right. You couldn’t be ______.” Jiraiya could’ve pressured Sasuke into spilling the beans and Sasuke could’ve had Jiraiya swear an oath to never utter a word about this incident after they resolve the issue but what do we get? Sakura finding a tattered letter with names. I hope something interesting at least comes out of THAT.

Because they love to undo anything mildly interesting, evidence is anyone's character development

Right? I dropped this series ages ago and the moment it started getting interesting again they just kneecap everything

Also shouldn't Jiraiya recognize the Rinnengan eyes? Its been awhile so i don't remember exactly but I thought he had history with Pain

Sasuke has his eye covered, and Jiraiya fought against the rinnegan over two and a half years later after the Sasuke desertion incident.

Wait so the Rinnengan is still active despite Sasuke having no chakra? Or it's just always there and he can't use it's powers.

Ok i just didn't remember if he came in contact with Rinnengan before the pain fight and I was talking more about urararaashsihi's eyes than sasuke's

Oh my god you’re right because he first came into contact with the rinnegan with young Nagato in the third great ninja war

Isn’t the point that jiraya knows, but he also understands that there is a reason why sasuke can’t say anything so he doesn’t push it
