Ah, that was a way better ending than I expected for a great anime, it did fall a little in the last few episodes but by that I just mean it went from maybe being my 4th 10/10 ever to being a good 9/10 and probably being in my Top 5 of the year.

Definitely, even if IMO it lost by an inch with Fruits Basket as AOTS.

Btw, Momo's face there is priceless.

I gotta say I loved this, but i'm always struggling when asked what is the AOTS. I love Dr Stone & Vinland Saga so much as well, and they are so different from each other, I just can't go and say one is better than the others.

I've been watching seasonal anime for over 15 seasons now and in not even once I was able to choose a single AOTS.

Really ? For me it is quite often an easy part. Like when you got a Shingeki no Kyojin season, or My Hero Academia, but also Made in Abyss or Devilman Crybaby ... It just becomes hard when we have such incredible seasons as this one or the ones we had in 2018 ( such a year )

Fruits Baskets is definitely my AotS (and for Spring too) but I can understand having a cluster of shows you like. I have Dr Stone, Fire Force and El-Melloi all basically neck-and-neck for 3rd best show this year.

I need to catch up on some things and gather my thoughts on Maidens first, but I currently would only put Kaguya and Carole and Tuesday in the same category. I could see Vinland Saga creeping up there as well but well see. I feel like it's somewhere between a 9 and 10 but it does have its faults. All shows do though. I'm happy with how it ended because it went with the "life and emotions are messy things" route and closed most lose ends that way rather than making narrative endings.
