If you're looking for motivation to watch at Episode 78, it may be that the series isn't for you - it all depends on what you thought of Arlong Park. If you enjoyed it then the second litmus test is Episode 130, the end of Alabasta. I don't think there's a current fan of One Piece who really disliked Alabasta. I know that's 52 episodes and that's daunting. Those 52 episodes consist of two arcs, Drum Island and Alabasta. The overall theme when Vivi is around is how leaders should act, the four leaders being Vivi, Luffy, Wapol (the antagonist of Drum Island) and Mr. 0 (the antagonist of Alabasta).

Drum Island is 12 episodes long and is quite calm. You will be introduced to another type of Devil Fruit and get a sad backstory for the island. It used to be at the forefront of medical technology, but now only has one doctor. She's not ideal either since her rates are extortionate, she treats someone even if they don't want to be treated and has anesthesia applied through force. It's an arc that doesn't focus much on the conflict and more on the emotion since there's only one doctor and Nami is sick and the crew's need for a doctor. It's reasonable to stop there and drop One Piece if you didn't enjoy it because it's pretty solid.

If you're still considering Alabasta after that, it's 38 episodes, being 92 to 130. I'll just outright state that Luffy completely and undeniably loses a fight in this arc and is saved by chance. You get to meet one of Luffy's family members, the re-appearance of Smoker and Tashigi, one of the most iconic Usopp fights and great plotting from Sanji. It really makes up for the lack of action in Drum Island since every member of the crew gets a challenging fight. You also get the beginnings of greater lore with messages from 800 years ago. This is a proper showcasing of the power of the Grand Line, with an entire island being a paradise for one specific devil fruit.

I don’t actually know specifically what episode I am on it’s when the giants were fighting and they one of them dies and zoro and the others are on the the candle and puffy keeps getting put under the colour paint spell. It’s not that I don’t want to continue watching but I always have that ugh feeling whenever I watch a lot of an anime but I still enjoy it...

It just be as simple as you've watched too much of it and you need to take time and let it rest. It comes out at one episode a week and isn't going anywhere any time soon. You're probably on Episode 76, as 75 had Luffy deal with the Colour Trap. There's no point in trying to enjoy an anime if you aren't enjoying watching anime. It's only going to colour the experience in a negative light. You could try reading the manga which goes to 954 chapters - up to 763 being officially coloured. Episode 75 adapts Chapter 123 and most of 124 if you want a reference point

LOOOL buy the manga? In my dreams my mum wouldn’t even let me buy one chapter. But yeah maybe you’re right I need to let it rests a bit. But I heard it’s going to end soon as the creator has been pumping out episodes for around 20 years. But who knows
