It's said that people with black blades never go far.

This is gonna be like how in One Piece, all the Pirates that come from East blue are trash 99% of the time, but it just so happens that the pirate King is also from east blue, lol.

Tanjirou's gonna turn out to be some sword God and everyone's gonna want a black blade after that.

I like the explanation though in that they don't know much about black blades and it's the reason why they see it as a potential weakness.

It's going to turn out that there's only been a few legendary black blades in history and for some reason there wasn't anything written down about them.
