I really like how they ended this - a big convergence of everyone's personal character development and drama through the notebooks while also reinforcing the theme of the team being "all in it together" by having them read each others' notebooks and therefore being able to have natural dialogue and monologues where the different character developments bounce off of each other. Very neat.
I especially like Ton's, Mizoguchi's, Chen's and Saku's - all of which could serve well as a sort of role model goal for kids and young adults with social problems of their own.
Yeah, didn't get to see as much of the routine as we would've liked, and there was a lot of repeated animation from earlier in the series, but it's been that way since episode 3 so not a huge surprise there.
Overall, I'd still say it was a much better ending than I was initially expected and significantly improved my appreciation for the series. It's really nice to see a series actually succeed at tackling a big cast of character development and actually being able to wrap it up properly in just 12 episodes, so kudos to that.
