Nooo, they ended the episode right before [manga] the best joke of this fight, damn it, making the violin just to throw it instead of using it is still one of my favorite gags in the manga.

Thoughts on the episode: [manga] I enjoyed the Ureshino arc in the manga, but I gotta say, it does feel like it drags a bit now that I'm watching it again. I think it's the lack of interactions with Kinosaki. Next episode should finish this mini arc and finally go into some of the really good stuff this season, like the Bug User wedding and best girl OAT (and possibly bi) Kimie Arashiyama.

That was also my favorite joke in all the arc and I worry the cliffhanger is going to make it not work. I feel like the highlight of the arc is Ureshino's little arc and the final battle but not a lot of Kinosaki And im so excited for the next arcs and my favorite girl

I reread the arcs it seems like this season will cover a few weeks ago, and I can't belive I'd forgotten about the hilarity of that joke, it was awesome. With any luck, they'll replay the part where he builds it together next episode so it properly lands

A thought that I had about adapting the manga is [manga] what if they skip the Bug User wedding for now? I'm not saying I want that, I do like that mini arc, but in the interest of the Dogo Animal Kingdom arc not being rushed, I think it would be a worthy sacrifice. And if this gets a second season (which I'm decently confident it will) they can adapt it at the start of then

[Manga spoiler]I hope they don’t skip the Bug User’s wedding , not only because it was sweet , but also because that’s the first time we heard about the Doll User!

Other than episode 1, every episode has adapted roughly 4 chapters. [Manga arc name] Dogo family ends in chapter 47, and next week's chapter will adapt up to chapter 19, so taking into account that the season will be 13 episodes, they don't have to skip anything.

7 episodes (after next week's episode) cover 28 chapters (19 + 28 = 47).

Alright, nevermind then, that makes me feel much more positive about the pacing of the season

I can imagine anime-only watchers wait a whole week just for that joke comes out of nowhere. It definitely worths the cliffhanger.
