It's nice of Leon to want to thank Val, even if that forces Val on his knees in deference because of the oath he swore Pride, but even if Val isn't the type to accept thanks or even care about Leon without Pride ordering him to, that doesn't matter to Leon! Because Leon is a genuinely good and respectful guy! Even if Stale still isn't 100% sold on him.

Dang, King Gregorio doesn't look good! But he still has to welcome Pride and also listen to his sons' get condemned for treason. Erwen and Homer still have the gall to act like Leon's genuinely loving and loyal brothers, and while it kills Leon to have to do it, he exposes their true crimes nevertheless. Heck, the king even KNEW they had done something like this before, which makes it more understandable (after warning them once) that he is now willing to strip them of their titles and arrest them. Take that!

I love how they try to throw Freesia under the bus and, when Pride tries to end the engagement for the sake of the Anemone Kingdom, THEN they shill their brother who they've been sabotaging all this time.

But it's true - Pride is there to dissolve the engagement because the Anemone Kingdom needs Leon more than she does. They don't need to be bonded by marriage when they can be bonded over mutual respect as allies.

The brothers just could not shut up and take their loss with any dignity. Even though Pride knows that, had their plan succeeded, they would have totally screwed the kingdom up, come crying to Leon for help, and even kidnapped Tiara to make Leon come back. What utter and unrepentant scumbags. It was worth Pride putting the fear of herself and her power into them. Any true ruler prioritizes their citizens above all else!

For all that Pride and Leon have accomplished, they deserved that mutual hug together! And trading marriage vows for vows to be the best king he can be!

All's well that ends well! Arthur cures King Gregorio and Leon can see Pride off as an ally...and more. Because she truly won his heart and as his first love, he will always come running if she ever needs help! And he seals it with a kiss on the cheek! Rare that we see Pride topple over and be stunned speechless, blushing like a tomato! Guess the super flirty part of Leon was always there, now it's just completely genuine :kisskiss:!

So -- will the two eventually marry and jointly rule a dual kingdom?
