Yeah, after reading other comments I thought that might be the case too. Not as bittersweet as I initially thought.

Actually I had a certain realization after thinking about some more

Though this speculation since it can also be the yuri that setsu took to that universe

But because that timeline yuri jumped to had a gnosia in it that yuri should already be dead

Which means yuri can exist there as normal yuri

Which means there loves story can continue 🥰

Pure speculation but strong possibility

This universe should technically have 3 Yuris

Universe Yuri got killed by Gnosia

0 Gnosia Yuri from the other universe has his mind overtaken

Bug Yuri from the other universe lives happily ever after

so, real Yuri is dead because of Gnosia, bug Yuri got disintegrated when he sees another Yuri(mc Yuri), and mc Yuri lives because of that. extra copium so hard on this one.

Real Yuri in this world line is dead because of Gnosia. There won't be another Bug Yuri because there is no conciousness that is jumping into this world line. MC Yuri is now just a conciousness going through the door and merging with the original Yuri that Setsu brings over through the door. Everything does make sense.
