I'm legitimately so very surprised by how faithful the anime ended up being to the game's ending. When we got the Normal Ending three episodes ago, I expected that the anime would go in a completely different direction for its ending, but nope!

Surprised that they didn't tweak the ending to get everyone on board somehow. But also, who cares, we got all the important people here anyway. Sorry not sorry. Gina best girl.

The show (and game) make it clear that the other timelines keep on going and it's just the loopers that don't. The rest of the cast was saved back in Ep18. The whole point of this bit is to save Setsu and we get the surprise bonus of Bug!?Yuri surviving too.

This isn't Steins Gate where there is only 1 active timeline. So sure, not everyone is alive together in the last loop, but Yuri guarantees their survival in at least one timeline and that's good enough in a multi-world hypothesis setting.

I was hoping they would tweak the ending slightly with everyone being alive and together because the true ED in the game was rather bittersweet. But now I'm still satisfied with how the anime handled it and that they stayed true to the game's ending. These epilogue episodes brought me better closure too, so I think it was good decision to handle it like this.

The addition of that Yuri smile at the end makes me think bug!Yuri isn't entirely gone after all, which makes me happy. I'm not 100% certain on the intended meaning of the smile, but I like being able to speculate. Everyone of us can came up with their own interpretation which feels in line with the spirit of the game where every player as their own unique experience.

So at the end Yuri disappeared right when the warp happened and Setsu said "you're my..." (I assume she says savior) does this mean Setsu accepted his death or like did she go with him like what happened with the duo?

I think with the post credit Yuri opening their eyes and smiling that Gnos simply removed the silver key but left their consciousness there.

Same. Part of me thought they were going to try and get everyone together.

I think the previous two episodes were to show that even if they're dead/cyberized/infected in Setsu and Yuri's final loop, they are alive and happy somewhere else.

So uh.... the question of how the hell does Kukrushka trigger the silver key was not answered.... oh well. At least Gina got her roast <3

Probably if it is in "go through the door" then whoever goes through to close it can be its new host. Or she signs for the Key lol.

I'm guessing Kukrushka doesn't activate it. Setsu getting it and passing it to Yuri in Save File 1 would complete the loop. Setsu just failed to mention that part when making the sales pitch to Manan.

Okay I accept the answer of "Yuri expected to erase the Silver Key along with themself", at least from their perspective of events. Even if arguably still the mystery seemed to be suggesting a prior-universe Setsu in an infinite chain (or at least a circular one) gave them the Key in ep 1.

Unsure about my feelings about a bittersweet-vs-ambiguous fate for Bug Yuri, but I also respect it.

Also damn SQ was still alive "underneath" Manan, I kind of assumed she had been body-napped since early childhood and therefore would barely exist as a consciousness.

Early childhood? She's been out of a growing pod for only a year 😅
