The mangaka must have some beef with the Kamen Rider Stronger series and loves tackles although I can't exactly prove it. Well here some not so fun facts:

The actress that played Tackle in the original series died at the young age of 27 in the year 1986 due to a severe asthma attack.

The actor who played Stronger in the original series died at the age 63 in the year 2012 due to pneumonia. Stronger did outlive Tackle

Yeah I am new to the Kamen Rider universe and even I feel offended. Another commenter pointed this out: Tojima beat a bear without his mask but now all of his power comes from the mask? I said this before but the Tackle win felt like an asspull to subvert our expectations. The Riderman win made a little bit more sense at least because we were given all that backstory about how he has been mastering a specific martial art to counter his brother for years.

That's really sad... At least her memory continues to live on with OG viewers and new people finding out about Kamen Rider through this show.

It probably isn't all of his power, but his extreme resilience. During the bear fight he didn't really take any or many blows. His punching strength seems to be about the same with or without mask, but it's the inhuman durability that is affected by the mask.

Sure, I can see that being the case. I am just butthurt about Kamen Rider losing.
