The road to hell is paved with good intention. Shiori must've been confused. People have hunted her for immortality, yet the one moment she granted one as gratitude she got herself blown in half in response. Having said that, the girl has a point; immortality is more of a curse than a blessing. Which raises the question, where is she? Is she still plotting revenge?

It... depends? Immortality in and of itself isn't bad. "Deth gives lief meening lol you'll get board lol" is braindead NPC folk wisdom (maybe true for some, but the "Indefinite life is bad for everyone, period" that's the societal default is a bad take). Being immortal mainly sucks if your loved ones are mortal or if you're in an unhealthy state and can't die.
