Fun little details about this series if you look back at past 9 episodes where casual events happen or scenes that are not serious tone we always see Shiori eat or snacking on something and it turns out it is not just a gag, this episode shows deeper meaning of Shiori little behavior of why she is always snacking.

Kinda funny how Miko saw through Shiori weakness by just those story alone, "your communication is fucking suck" lmao but Miko is right if Shiori more honest to herself and talking to Hinako directly this set back in their relationship wouldn't happen.

The human brain always fills the gap of anything vaguely automatic, I don't know why but it has been this way.

Shiori's has been always assume other people intentions because she never really get invite into inside unlike Miko but still that lead to her commit mistake giving something to someone that doesn't want that thing.

Also that kid is now immoral so right now she is alive but the question is..... where is she?

The existence of Miko really lightened up everything. Shiori's start to realize her mistake. Yes, it easier to said and done but if Shiori really care about Hinako she must act NOW.

Before to Shiori food and humans might have just been the same thing, but now food is something humans create and some even give to her. Eating with others feels like such a natural social activity but Shiori never got to truly share a meal with someone until meeting Hinako. Food isn't just for staying alive it can also bring people together.

It turned what used to be just necessity to a social behaviour, introduced concepts like Sharing, giving people someting without really asking anything in return. As Hinako offered to Shiori that without thinking, all she wanted is for the mermaid to get well.

It is truly the ticket to the "inner world" that Shiori longing for. After the century of being hunt or worship by human who always wanted something from her.

We can all try to be more like little Hinako sometimes. It might not change the world, but it could change the world for that one person
