More seriously, this was a really beautiful episode. While Shiori is a huge mermaid lady here, it feels like she's almost as much of a child as Hinako was. She's lived for centuries, but until she was "invited over", she's pretty much lived as a wild animal that didn't even understand the basic concept of not having your cake and eating it too.
