Interesting that Shiori found another kid unappetizing. I wonder why? I'm still confused about what makes humans seem more or less appetizing to youkai. We can't really trust anything Shiori's told Hinako about the subject. Even little Hinako seemed tasty to Shiori, so aside from sharing blood, I don't know if we have any concrete reasons Shiori wouldn't want to eat that kid.

What's immortal kid doing now? Since she seemed pretty young still when Shiori last saw her decades later, I assume the immortality also keeps you looking young. Being trapped in a kid's body forever must be a special kind of torture.

It's funny that this all started with Hinako feeding Shiori tamagoyaki from her bento. I went back to rewatch the lunch scene from episode 2... I guess now we can guess what was going through Shiori's head when she saw Hinako's bento. Hinako again offered to share her bento with Shiori, though Shiori would be the one trying to feed Hinako the tamagoyaki.

I wonder why?

Remember what she said about her? That she smelled like a rotting, beached whale. That girl had given up on life, which made her unappetizing. Plus the fact that she was all bones so not much to eat there anyway.

Hmm... I guess, but wouldn't all the kids being thrown into the cove be pretty sad and malnourished?

I'm also confused about Shiori not wanting to eat depressed people, but other youkai thinking that they're really tasty.

I'm pretty sure we only get that information about depressed people smelling tasty from Shiori, who was lying to Hinako about why she smelled good. So maybe don't actually trust it too much
