Hinako was a strange kid to witness Shiori looking like she came straight out of a horror film and react like “Wow, Miss Fishie is so pretty” instead of being terrified of the nightmare fuel lol.

"Hinako was the only one to invite me in" is really just polite speech for "this kid was fucking crazy".

On a serious note, I do find it interesting that hinako was able to see her at all even before getting her blood. Wonder if she was just used to seeing monsters every other day.

I think Yokai hiding themselves takes an active effort, and Shiori was too weak for that
