The road to hell is paved with good intention. Shiori must've been confused. People have hunted her for immortality, yet the one moment she granted one as gratitude she got herself blown in half in response. Having said that, the girl has a point; immortality is more of a curse than a blessing. Which raises the question, where is she? Is she still plotting revenge?

Since she was holding on to the bombs she would have taken even more damage than the mermaid that ended up in a vegetative state. Assuming she had lesser or at most equal immortality to the mermaid I would assume she died in the explosion. I don't think the immortality is no death no matter what but rather it's longevity and health. I think the mermaid and those that have consumed the flesh are still able to die. At least they can take debilitating damage. Would the girl be able to recover as the mermaid did? Would require some sort of explanation as to how.

Who knows, perhaps she will return.

Yeah, Imortality is not equal immortality, some keep you alive others, let you feel how your body turns to dust
