Seeing Shiori nonchalantly devour a child as if she's snacking on a piece of fruit was pretty goddamn horrifying.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK SHIORI?! It turns out Hinako wasn’t the first person Shiori granted the gift of long life to someone who also wanted to die. That girl hated Shiori so much for making her immortal that she ran into her with an armful of grenades, intending to kill them both.

I know we only have three episodes left for this season, but I'm calling it now: that girl is still alive somewhere, and if she ever runs into Shiori, she'll try to kill her again. I can imagine her as a possible future antagonist.

And we finally get to see how Hinako and Shiori met. Man, seeing how happy and radiant Hinako was back then, you can understand why Shiori ended up doing what she did. It was a harmless little blessing so Hinako would remain healthy and never lose her shine. Who would've thought that Shiori's gift would end up becoming a curse?

The fact that Shiori thought Hinako would feel blessed for surviving that accident really shows that she still has a lot to learn. I guess it's good that she told all of this to Miko, since Miko was able to give her some advice on what to do next. Let's see if Shiori would actually do something to try to understand Hinako.

There is something just so innocent in Shiori thinking Hinako would feel blessed. For someone who never had friends or her family herself she couldn't understand the pain of losing of them. The closer to gets with Hinako, the more she'll start to truly feel the weight of Hinako's loss

that girl is still alive somewhere

That girl took the full blast at point-blank range though, while Shiori was farther away and yet it still almost killed her. She would have needed to receive even greater immortality than what Shiori herself has, which doesn't make a lot of sense...
