Make sense since both are adults in their previous life.

I love the contrast back in season 1 when Kazuma/Subaru and Tanya/Ainz realised the other is also isekai'd. Kazuma and Subaru (the teenage neets in tracksuits) get into an argument about harems and who struggles the most, meanwhile Tanya and Ainz (the adult salarymen) talk about coffee.

You mean only Kazuma argued about that lol. That kind of mindset has been beat out of Subaru by his own ruthless Isekai experience. He had to grow up and start thinking about what really mattered.

So Subaru can't tell Kazuma what his life really has been like and can only mention stuff in the "canon" loops. So as far as Kazuma knows Subaru has been living in a mansion with pretty girls and he assumes Subaru has it easy based soley on that info. Kazuma has been living in a mansion with pretty girls (he even admits Aqua is pretty even if he isn't attracted to her specifically) including Megumin, he is the outright owner of the mansion, and he complains he has a hard time, which to be fair he had a lot of hard work to do.
