I'm seeing the LN is just one volume, did the anime adapt everything?

Well, if I look at the web novel chapters at least there are a lot of things that don't seem to have been covered. Maybe halfish/enough for a second season? One can hope. Not sure about the light novel, and according to wikipedia there's a 6 volume manga and 1 volume sequel that has the latest release date and most consistent releases (although there's a large gap until the sequel), so they might be focusing more on the manga?

The anime adapted the whole of the series, it did cut out certain plot points so the anime would end on a better note.

From what it looks like, the series was canceled (which is why the anime decided to change things) and just recently was picked back up which would explain the gap between the two mangas.

Well that's a bummer, I kept thinking "oh this isekai unlike 99% of isekai isn't 'life sucks, I get a new better life in another world' and looks like the ending will be coming back to our world after fantasy therapy"

the LN didn't get picked back up, there's an extra side story that is not related to the plot events of this season
