The quest to perfect Shiroha's dads' Fried Fan continues! Nanami will do anything to make Shiroha happy!

Did they update the OP to show Nanami hanging out with all the kids? And was there always a "pockets" after "Alka?"

They finally did it! They finally got the Fried Fan right! And it tastes delicious! And nostalgic for Nanami in a way she didn't expect.

Maybe they shouldn't have given Kobato the Fried Fan...his reaction just sends Shiroha running off in tears. But despite how gruff and obstinate Kobato seems, he really only has Shiroha's feelings as his top priority and he doesn't want to see her still stuck in grief over her parents. I mean, he lost his wife, he lost his son-in-law, AND he lost his daughter. Shiroha is all he has left and he's going through a lot too.

But it seems like the Naruse women are not only born with white hair but also powers that inevitably curse them...and lead them to try to make the most of every Summer that they can. In fact the last thing Kobato remembers about Hitomi is her telling him she was going to secure a safe future for Shiroha.

Nanami wants to make this a happy and fun Summer for the Naruse's, not a sad one, and that feeling is further emboldened when she "talks" with a shichieichou and regains her memories...UMI'S memories...and she knows what she has to do for Shiroha.

Okay, maybe taking the girl who is struggling with the loss of her parents to Natsudori festival prep to make lanterns that signify sending off lost loved ones was a bad idea. But hey, it's really nice to see how much Shiroha's friends care about her and want to protect her! Even if they totally misunderstand and think Nanami is the problem.

Poor Shiroha. She misses her mom so, so much and she can't stop crying over it. But when she talks with the infamous Grandma Kato, who turns out to be a family friend, she's reassured of how much her mother loved her. So much so that it seems like her disappearance is linked to Shiroha's strange shichieichou dreams. Did she leave because she knew Shiroha's powers were starting to kick in and she needed to do something about it?

One thing's for sure: Shiroha thinks the first place her mom would have went is somewhere involving her dad. And it looks like Nanami is getting roped into investigating with her.

And was there always a "pockets" after "Alka?"

I doubt it was, because those are just arc names. Pocket is the name of the current one and Alka was the previous one.
