You know, I really like that the guild master actually seems like what someone in that kind of bureaucratic position would be like. He deals with all the headaches, he handles the paperwork, he manages the adventurers, etc...

Showing a guild master having to actually juggle all their varied responsibilities and having to deal with all the places difficulties can come from is just really refreshing after so many shows where the guild master is either only operating in the background, but is just another adventurer, or they do almost zero work for the guild and basically just make judicial rulings when there's conflict.

I like that it seems like a real, fully fleshed out job in this.

Agreed, he even takes responsibility for the town and has final word on the dungeon (The single biggest and most important thing in town)bas if he was a mayor of sorts which makes sense for someone in his position in an adventurer (and also border) town.
