Anyone else get the feeling that Able was the Duke's grandson that Sera was going off to tutor?

It's been heavily implied that Able isn't just a simple adventurer. I thought that he might be a prince or the crown prince, but considering how the guild master treats him, I could see him being the Dukes grandson and likely heir.

That could be true given what you've mentioned, but given Ryo saved him shouldn't we have seen some sort of reaction from the grandfather to reward/thank him by now?

If we assume Abel is Alfonso, then going by a pseudonym is clearly meant to hide his identity. Having the local lord reward/thank Ryo is going to expose that. If you were to say that saving Abel's life is an important enough occasion to warrant the identity exposure, you'd have a point, however, there was nothing when Ryo initially escorted Abel back home either.
