Also considering that they are leaving no record of Ryo's existence, I'm curious as to how the "Hero" party will find him.

They're leaving no record of his involvement in the expedition. He's still a publicly listed member of the adventurer's guild.

After that conversation with the court mage it wouldn't shock me if his records become top secret and only the guild master has access to them.

Wouldn't that just invite curiosity? Easier to hide a needle in a haystack, innit? Only problem being that Ryo might be a much more unique name in that world.

And Ryo as a person isn't exactly subtle in either his personality, finances, behavior or clothing

Doesn't that apply to everyone? I doubt other adventurers can just see everyones info, the only one with access would be the clerk/s.
