So sad that Ludris doesn't move like a minecraft character. At least they were able to keep the design.

This episode adapted chapters 61-63 as well as the first page of chapter 64.

  • Man, how to evaluate the fight in terms of how creative it was was a treat.
  • They extended scenes like them building the house with nanoskin, Momo, TG & Seiko hanging by the bathhouse, and also Evil Eye playing soccer.
  • I love how they adapted when Jiji asks if Momo is in love. It takes the one panel where she is blushing and slows it down and adds music to add a lot of meaning. Where you know for sure she is in love with Okarun.
  • The music again is standout love usage on that blushing panel for Momo & the flashback between TF & Okarun in terms of figuring out the best way for Okarun to deal with Evil Eye.

I'm just gonna get this out of the way now, but please be respectful next week when [Manga Spoilers]some anime only's inevitably don't love Kinta on first impression. Most of us are operating with knowledge of the next two arcs so of course we like him, but if someone says "this new kid is annoying AF" don't just "uhm acktually" them and vaguely spoil upcoming events just to prove a point. We can do better than that. Let them come around on their own.

I'm more concerned with [MooMoo] Vamola. It's looking like the kiss will be the cliffhanger, and the anime-onlys have been super locked-in with the Momo/Okarun moments in this season. It won't be pretty for her fans. At least Kinta will have some moments with the tail end of the season and of course the memetic power of the "Ten Gallon Wiener" scene

[end of season spoilers]it won't be a kiss cliffhanger. It will end on the chapter after. every episode has been 3 chapters so that's where we are paced for.

[Since you mentioned]Vamola, I wonder if they're going to change her outfit for the anime. Vol 11 cover shows her thighs and shoulders are exposed, but it wouldn't be the first time a characters' outfit is "filled in" for the anime adaptation.

also some people never grow to like him you don't have to like every character in a story you love some people are just neutral on him and thats fine

I still don't really like him and just tolerate him. Like, i get that for many fat nerds he is the self-insert, but he is at best OK compared to the others.

u/Gilthwixt Aug 29 '25

I didn't like him at first either but to suggest he's only popular because he's the fat nerd self-insert is crazy work 💀I'm saying that as someone who's been skinny to average my whole life. People like him for the [Manga spoilers]Giant Robot Power Bombs, creativity & resourcefulness, sheer confidence and because he's a funny little guy. Being fat is irrelevant.

Them extending the dark Okarun panels into the rest of the scene makes me extremely happy. I kept replaying the fight in general, it would have been nice to get an extra 30 seconds or so but it was awesome anyway.

i always absolutely loved this part of OP1 where okarun transforms and looks bestial, so it being used in the fight for the final attack was so sick

[MooMoo] Judgment Day is upon us next week with it being the premiere episode of a certain sci-fi mecha otaku. I genuinely think Kinta's debut could be the most upvoted episode all season. He's been built up so much throughout the season, and his quote is so iconic that the season might just be best remembered for that moment.

Yeah no way it'll be the most upvoted one.

Unless [manga]we end on Vamola's kiss. Maybe I'm in the minority but I really don't think Kinta's all that popular outside of a cult following he has. Very hit or miss character.
