I get the feeling that Panty & Stocking was never big on reddit, even with how anticipated Panty & Stocking S2 was for a long time. On 4chan, Twitter and YouTube the series seems reasonably big though.

I am a little disappointed that's there's been very little show discussion aside from Episode 6 on this subreddit though, kinda wonder if the dub cast being changed hurt viewership of the new season.

It's not the dub. Humor like this just doesn't hit as hard in 2025. S2 will have way less impact than S1.

Today was the weakest episode of both seasons by far. Yes, I know the references. Still true.

Today was the weakest episode of both seasons by far.

Episode 10 of the first season was pretty meh outside of the D-City Rock MV. Chuck to the Future was as much of a shitpost as the Inferno Cop segments and Inner Brief is the episode segment of all-time.

I feel Episode 5 in the first season was also weak. The nose picking was just too gross and confusing, and the second episode with the Little Tokyo had some weird pacing.

tbh the series for me has always been a mixed bag. In a good way that is. They experiment like crazy and so sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Thats just the nature of it and I enjoy that they're brave enough to give everything a try when most series can barely step out of the basic tropes

It's not like its inspirations (South Park, Powerpuff Girls, Drawn Together) were perfect either. But yeah, that's the strength of having 11 minute episodes. You don't linger too long on the weak ones.
