dude, WHY did they have to dress the little girl like that? You could have easily had her match her twin. Maybe takuto doesn't like them like that but the artist definitely does. I was enjoying the show up to this point...

It's honestly one of those anime things that's so ingrained into the medium that you sorta roll your eyes at & have to decide whether it's enough to turn you off from it. I was hoping that b/c of the whole "having to go through all that trekking through awful terrain" stuff it would be her only outfit & they get her a new one, b/c obvious reasons aside, I think it would be funny if Takuto is the only one willingly dressed like a whore.

Having the cute little sister archetype is, dressing them up like that is not. Plus this outfit is particularly egregious

I meant lolisho as sort of a whole. But if you wanna talk weirdly sexualized cute little sister, that's definitely a thing that exists too.

well obviously it exists, but I wouldn't say it's engrained, and I wish they would stop putting it in mainstream stuff like this (or you know, all together)

Like I said, it's one of those things where you can only roll your eyes & decide whether or not it's enough to turn you off of the show. To me, it's one of those things that puts the show into "can no longer recommend it to a casual anime fan despite my personal enjoyment"

I am both rolling my eyes and complaining on reddit because it's gross. Frankly it deserves more than just the eyerolls. There's no reason for literally described children to be dressed like that. I mean, they literally just have to give her the same outfit as her twin sister, or age them up 1000 years, or do any of the other handwavey stuff that anime does.

Sure, but getting upset doesn't solve anything. There's nothing you can realistically do to change it. There's either accept that the show has problematic qualities you have to accept/ignore or stop watching. I quite enjoy 7th Prince Reincarnated despite the fact that Lloyd's design is... Certainly a decision that was made, b/c I enjoy the other aspects of the show enough to overlook it.
