It isn't inherently bad, no. It's essentially the "Chaotic" alignment in D&D, which can be either good or bad (or neutral). What mostly matters is the way in which the freedom is expressed. Like, if someone tries to punish you for your actions, do you accept their punishment, do you evade the punishment, or do you kill them? Takuto gave a pretty clear answer to that follow up.
