Learning that Lily's VA is American is throwing me for a loop. Lilys English sounded better than most times English is used in original audio anime, but I definitely pegged her as being voiced by an ESL Japanese VA. It just doesn't sound natural.

But I must have been imagining it. In any case, looking forward to more. It was really cute.

I was speaking about this with someone earlier, since her English comes across as both almost 'correct', but really unnatural for someone who is a native English speaker.

We were wondering if maybe the English was simplified for the Japanese audience to help them follow it somewhat or if the script writer is less proficient in English and she had to stick to it.

It probably doesn't help that she sounds like an American poorly putting on an Americans stereotypical idea of a British accent when she speaks English.
