It's only the first episode but I'm already in love with the show, good theme that most of the time is approached in anime as something frivolous, simple design but with strong colors so it draws attention visually.

The only thing I haven't dealt with yet was seeing Lily and Renji already having a romantic relationship, but... It's Japan lol

How old is he though? If he’s 14 I see no issue with it but if he’s any older than that… yeah.

[He's] an 18 year old university student and she's a 13 year old middle schooler according to Wikipedia.

I suspect it will go either 2 ways; 1 - evolves into sibling/care type relationship 2 - time skip to older as adults in the end

But 2 seems a bit of a stretch with the vibe I got from episode 1.

Or the indeed skeevy 3rd option which I'm optimistically hoping it doesn't go down and ruin this cute vibe.
