Not the most memorable episode but we're reminded of just how fast time is passing - the children of yesterday are not only working but also trying to improve their village. It makes me so giggly to see Anne and Gilbery just naturally gravitate to each other due to their shared interests and introspective natures, as well as how relaxed they are around each other despite being former (one-sided) sworn enemies.
I really liked the shot of GIlbert looking up at Anne when she declared that she wants to make life beautiful for everyone around her - it just conveys the admiration (or maybe something more...?) he has for her. It's also an apt reflection of Anne's cheerful, irrepressible and heartfelt character. Based on the preview, we get the twins next week. Oh boy.
