I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that Anne already has a teaching job at 16. I guess times were just really different back then. And Anne has her work cut out for her with her students looking so disinterested in her except for one. She's lucky to have Paul, who helped her get back on track.

Anne really needs to be firm with these troublemakers. I get that it's kinda hard to discipline a student who brings up her past as a rebuttal, but that was back then. Poor Anne, it's only her first day and she's already stressed. No wonder people from back then aged so quickly.

They've even formed a village improvement society! And as expected, while the kids want to improve Avonlea, a lot of the older people in Avonlea either misunderstand their purpose or just completely reject the idea of the improvement society. And then some think they're just wasting time.

Avonlea sure has a lot of eccentrics but I'm glad the girls were able to still get a lot of support especially from that generous guy who just had a baby.

I love the final scene between Anne and Gilbert. They've really gotten close ever since they decided to make up. <3

Anne trying to be the best 16-year old schoolteacher she can be! But now that she's on the other side of the classroom, she has to manage kids while dealing with the fact that not too long ago she was right where the were and is probably the most legendary troublemaker in all of Avonlea. Ganbare, Anne Shirley!

You have to at least respect the youths' commitment to bettering their community. How very civic-minded of them!

I've never seen a man so smug over having a baby before lol.

It's like they're finding any excuse to just comfortably hang out and talk to each other! It's so sweet.
