That speedster segment was an extrovert nighmare and an introvert dream, lol. I would spend that time reading books and playing video games and watching speeded up movies. Of course it is a nightmare for Kan since he cannot talk to any of his friends during a whole month and he lives for that.

Doing 30 days of work for 30 days of pay while only paying 3 days of rent seems a nice deal too, although Kan is probably aging 30 days during that time, so it is probably a bad idea to use that spell too much. That spell would be a lot better if you could turn it on and off at will, but this is Nico’s magic, so it has to be impractical with a lot of drawsbacks. To be fair, she tried to warn him, so Kan had no excuses.

That Ottoman show reminded me of that Nervous Magical Girls show that was actually all relationship drama in Sket Dance (the author’s previous work). Although with shows like Magilumiere and its office ladies magical girls existing, I feel like this kind of shows could actually exist without being too much of a stretch. Some anime are weird like that. Although it is more likely satirizing pretentious directors trying to make fun action shows for kids and teens more “adult” and “realistic” by including this kind of things. The audience preferring Kan’s version at the end rather hinted at that.

playing video games

i feel like most video games would have too much animation time that would be frustrating, unless you have an emulator that can go up to 10x for everything. Books and playing media would be fine though..actually i just realized you would need a screen that can do 300hz refresh rate. eh, actually i guess anime on a 144hz monitor would prob be manageable since it's animated on 2s or 3s iirc, even if the experience isn't optimal.

oh man, imagine trying to watch a CRT screen refreshing at 6Hz though
