Bruh that Otto-man rehearsal was the funniest shit in the show yet. Also damn, super speed might not be a superpower I would want anymore

it makes you wonder, what the creators of these spells were thinking when creating them, half of Nico's spells are straight ass

That's the catch, they didnt.

I would assume in this world, all the spell developments is still ongoing and unfortunately most of those spells are still bound by laws of nature like the Double it one

i also think from a writer's perspective they want to show that you can't get a free lunch when it comes to things like magic; there's always a price to pay, especially when used for selfish reasons

Except for flying. That part's just cool.

The flying had the weight limit though but for herself it is pretty cool

The only time they've really paid off without a drawback was for the guy who needed privacy to take a dump.

u/Galle_ May 26 '25

The flying spell also worked just fine without any complications. The only problem was a foreign object entering the spell zone.

....I just realized how much funnier that would've been if said truck had looked a bit like Optimus Prime.

To be honest I always thought the problem was that 1, Nico is a witch in training who doesn’t really get the spells yet, and 2, they’re being used by idiot teenagers that suck at thinking about consequences.

They seem to be the magical equivalent of prescription drugs. They have a main use that's really beneficial, but they always seem to have side effects, so you just have to be careful about when they're applied.

Maybe those spells are suppose to be like genie wishes, where they backfire on you if you are not careful on what you wish for.

Well these spells do apparently include preventative measures so you can’t cause harm to others so the detrimental elements/obvious blowback can help keep ‘em in check

This is a comedy so ass is perfect.

I dunno, I could happily go a month without talking to people, and I could finally catch up on the books I want to read. I'd never considered the underwear issue though, that's a difficulty.

u/cyberscythe May 25 '25

also make sure to leave the window open; have to be careful you don't use up all of the oxygen or have too much CO2 in your room

10

u/darkmacgf May 25 '25

Would that be a problem? He'd be using the same amount of oxygen as having 10 people in the room, right?

23

u/cyberscythe May 25 '25

air would not circulate as fast relative to how much he breathes, so maybe it'd be a problem?

15

u/11th_Division_Grows May 26 '25

Jesus, there’s a whole bunch of potential issues with that spell.

u/RimeSkeem https://myanimelist.net/profile/RimeSkeem May 25 '25

Yeah, but Kan is an extremely social person. A month alone for him would be agony.

7

u/Arco223 May 27 '25

A month in near total isolation would be legitimate psychological torture for most anyone honestly... Like this isn't even a question of just being an introvert or extrovert, anything from watching TV and browsing the Internet to cooking would almost immediately become unbearable.

7

u/3rdLastStand May 26 '25

Could have asked Nico for her giant manga collection.

6

u/Zetafunction64 May 25 '25

In a more realistic scenario, you might end up tearing pages off your books as you go through them ten times faster

12

u/Frontier246 May 25 '25

And this was just a rehearsal for the stage show, that's apparently what actual episodes of the show are like lol.

Flash Time only Barry is all alone and can't turn it off, isn't near as efficient as it sounded, and it's utterly horrifying.

7

u/Coyote_Shepherd May 25 '25

It felt more like Flash Time but from Wally's perspective of his first usage of it.

Barry freaked out a bit but he quickly deduced what was going on and then acted like a scientist.

Wally on the other hand.....wellllllll....

5

u/KTR1988 May 26 '25

And personality-wise Kan is more of a Wally than a Barry

8

u/11th_Division_Grows May 26 '25

It’s the application and the lack of understanding of how the spell really works on Nico’s part I think.

If Kanshi was on a strict deadline and needed to get all those boxes done before end of 1 day then the spell would be great for him for that purpose.

He needed the spell that lets him split into smaller selves. He needed more hands, not to work faster.

3

u/LogosMaximaXV May 25 '25

People are finally starting to understand how speedsters like the Flash live. I think it's been said that for the most part, they see everything in slow motion like Kanshi did, but they have some degree of control over it.
