Drinking newtypery juice usually has different reactions depending on the individual.

A neat little detail we didn't know before is Machu is apparently pretty well off and doesn't seem like she's struggled for survival much, which reflects in her optimistic and bright piloting and how she sees the world through the Omega-Psycommu.

On the other hand, Nyaan is bitter, beaten down, and vengeful. The Gundam gives her the power to lash out against everything that caused her grief, and now I think she's started to wonder why she has to put up with any of that at all anymore - and, moreover, why would she give that power up to anyone now that she has it.

We kinda knew Machu was well off.
Nice school and her mom works for the gov and only cares about securing machus future (which she finds suffocating).
But yeah the trios dynamic is going to be very interesting from now on.
I don't think Nyyan would relquish her new place easily

Is the former general requisitioning another Gundam unit (Kikeroga) that can be "accidentally" allowed to fall into the hands of our trio?

The MSN-01 Kikeroga was basically a prototype Zeong, it was meant to be the mid game boss before that. Eventually it was canned because the show runtime for cut short, and the design itself was written out of canon, with the Mobile Suit for Newtype project being retconned into the MS-06Z "Bishop" and the MSN-01 Psycommu System Zaku High Mobility Test Type, which became the predecessor to the Zeong. I guess Anno dug up that little factoid for himself
