Interesting how the Kira Kira was purple for Nyaan..is it because she goes insane or a different type of new type?

The anime does seem to colour coordinate the Newtype kira-kira between the three lead characters.

Ah ok I didn't notice the difference between machi and Shuji..I thought theirs was the same.

More of an aqua for Machu...which makes sense given her fixation on the ocean.

Shuji's yellow is an interesting one given my personal theory on who's actually talking to him when the Gundam does (hint: yellowest outfit in the OG series)

Nyanners just looks like straight evil. I'm sure that won't be a problem.

my theory is that nyanners will be the villain of the show with her trying to either kill machu ep 6 or something like that in fact shuji and nyaaaan will be the villain but thats just a theory a GAME THEORY!!!

I mean they are certainly setting her up for an antagonist arc of some kind.

We have an interesting spread between Machu's seeming "no kill" attitude, Shuji's "kill but be blase about it" and Nyan's "Killing is the only time I feel alive" vibe.

So if we take the most common symbolism then Machu's is noble/good, Shuji's is insanity - checks out with Char's darkest parts sitting inside the Red Comet - and Nyaan's is just corruption and defilement. Makes it easy to understand whom to root for.

Do you think they bothered doing that program in this timeline? I mean i guess it would still make sense, especially seeing how things ended for char in the OYW on this timeline.

Well the Flanagan Institute is still around in this timeline, so it's likely they've started cyber newtype research.

Glemy has clones that might be Cyber-Newtypes, and Puru has clones that are Cyber-Newtypes. Glemy is 17 and Puru/Puru Two are 10 years old in 0088. Zeon had been working on early Cyber-Newtype research since before the OYW.

I think it was a thing during the war. However, the war ended, so the losing side's Cyber-Newtypes got no uses just like OG Ple-12 from Unicorn. They became war refugees.
Nyaan is also an illegal refugee. My thought is she could be the Fed's Cyber Newtype like Four from Zeta. Since Feds is losing the war like Zeon in OG Timeline.

Note that Quux didn't respond to her right away either. She had to force it to fully activate with fear of death. Nyaan and Shuji share something. Something similar to a cyber newtype wouldn't be out of place in UC at all.
