Getting a double dose of Takamine this week I guess. Nice.

Wait, is the reason she likes Shirota because he took care of that cat when they were kids? Really? Well, I guess people can find kindness attractive. I wonder if Shirota’s ever gonna be able to see past the little games she plays and tell she actually likes him?

Well, I guess people can find kindness attractive.

Welcome to the world of harem/ecchi anime, it's one of those evergreen overused tropes in every bad anime aimed at boys. "Pick up her eraser and she's up for anything".

Well yeah. It's a fantasy. And a logical one at that. Many boys and later men find out that often what they thought would help them attract women doesn't really work. So fiction steps in and provides wish-fulfillment scenarios where that is the case.

Yeah you're right that as a wish-fulfilment fantasy, if you see it properly as fantasy, it works great. I guess my biggest problem with it is that it fuels harmful Nice Guy ideology in people who remain thinking it should work like that in the real world.
