So here's a silver lining for the absolutely atrocious Disney closed caption dubtitles: motivation to put on the Japanese closed caption subtitles to figure out what Inori & co are actually saying. A charming show and a language class all at once.

I did find myself forcing to not read at times just to listen to what the characters are actually saying and pausing to give myself time to mentally map the words to english.

Good thing that my japanese vocabulary is significantly stronger than before.

I don't want to imagine how frustrating this must be for newer viewers.

What the characters are saying and what I’m reading at “subs”’are completely different.

I have them off when I watch
