Could just be different alternative timelines which both can be canon.

We already have an example of 2 time lines that are both canon. The future trunks time line vs the rest of the super time line. Daima being canon and a separate time line would mean something fiddling with time like maybe time magic at the end of Daima.

That does open up the possibility of more DragonBall but from the Daima time line. The Daima timeline creation would create one of those time rings

I don't literally mean that alternative timelines, I mean a different route to a story. They aren't connected. It's another story but is still canon. Super and daima are all connected to Z but spread out to an alternative story.
