I'm a bit bummed that the [manga] legally distinct Millenium Falcon design of the spaceshipdidn't quite make it to the adaptation. Then again, it's not surprising, I'm sure the execs at Scince Saru weren't keen on getting some strongly worded letters from Disney's lawyers in the coming weeks.

I can deal with most references being nerfed. I cannot deal with [Dandadan Manga]Eva and Guren Lagan references being nerfed in later arcs.

We did get a suspiciously Goji looking Nessie though. Hope that means [Spoiler]Vamola’s suit won’t get any changes

The references based on Japanese IP so far seem to have been more safe.

Yeah, I think that it's just easier for them to get the proper rights for Japanese stuff, and they don't want to bother with Western IPs.

It’s kept the Ultraman references until now, I don’t see why they’d change the Gomora suit.

Yes, those need to stay. I will organize a riot at the Japanese ambassy if they dare to change those easter eggs. Wait, with me it's also [manga] gundam references

I feel like they didn't use the millennium falcon design to avoid issues with the Mouse(you don't fuck with the mouse), so i have hope they do keep the other references

With Japanese references I think it is easier for them to work out with.

Maybe they should do the South Park disclaimer at the start of each episode, claiming any reference is just pure coincidence.

Dunno how well that'd hold up in court, but Dandadan referencing South Park that way would also be funny.

The Gurren Lagann references are just the sunglasses and maybe the Gainax pose, they’ll probably be safe lol
