Yeah the OG did Akane’s character wrong by making her more aggressive than the manga. While the remake has a more faithful and manga accurate version of her that’s why most fans are glad that the remake is doing her justice and the way she’s supposed to be written in the first place.

Yeah the orginal had a lot of filler which changed/expanded characters.

Even that is just a small part, most of her retorts towards Ranma are Ranma’s own doings lol. If anything if Ranma is acting normally Akane doesn’t mind hanging out with him and helping him out.

The original anime would pad time by having characters interact with Ranma, and having Akane attack him for it. It may have kept the original sweet spots, but they were drowned out by the violence because the anime couldn't write in additional moments of a relationship.
