I’m on episode 160 but I wanna get further, do you have any recommendations on how? Is there episodes to skip

Manga

Edit: don't skip anything that's shown in manga everything has a connection and relevance

Fastest way would be to switch to manga. Episode 160 is almost 800 chapters behind what todays episode adapted, you would need to read around 114 chapters per day.

It's definitely possible if one has the free time, I read the entirety of WCI and Wano in three days on my re-read and I didn't particularly rush myself.

I crunched some numbers and it would take a person around 9.5hours per day of just straight reading without stopping if you have 5min/chapter pace. So I dont think catching up from episode 160(ch 246-247) to ep 1071(ch 1044) is really feasible...

There is no Skip in one piece. If it's canon, watch it.. just to give you and idea a character in the 1st 20 episodes has become relevant 1000 episodes later.

There's so much info and lore and character growth that skipping is not an option for you to understand why how where things are.

Well, to be fair, the anime has a ton of legit skippable filler arcs along the way, I don't know in total, but out of 1070 episodes there probably at least 100+ pure filler arc episodes. Then there are the ones that stretch the plot to the point where you can watch every 2nd or 3rd episode, watch the recaps, and miss absolutely nothing. So, I mean, there probably are tracks to watch far less than 1070 episodes and miss nothing of any significance. I can't wait for them to do One Piece Kai.

Your best bet is doing “One Pace” it’s a fan edit that only goes through cannon it’s 10/10. It’s how i caught up in time for Gear 5!

i dont know if this is considered a "sin" to do but i decided to catch up like 9 months ago now. i watched episodes at 1.25x speed, skipped full filler episodes, and whenever there were flashback moments (especially if those moments were from not even 5 episodes ago) i skipped those parts. itll take time but so worth this anime is great

Really at this point the best way to do it is to just read the manga and if you feel like it watch anime episodes that have particularly cool scenes (look up episode descriptions). There are basically 300 HOURS of anime ahead of you, and a lot of that is padding to keep from catching up to the manga, so it's really not worth it. The story is great, and parts of the anime are great, but it's not efficient.
