Review The Onn Pro 13.2 inch is pretty nice.
I came from using a 2019 9.7 inch tablet and I wanted to see if having a bigger tablet experience. I got the Onn Pro from walmart, and I've got to say, for sub $300 it's pretty good.
Comes with a pen and a case and has expandable microSD card storage. The stylus I can tell is made of cheaper quality than the Apple Pencil, but I don't even think about it when I'm taking notes.
I'm mainly trying this out for note taking in class, and while initially I was hesitant about returning it I honestly want to keep it.
Only big concern I have right now is that if I put the tablet in Horizontal mode, I can feel the top left portion feel slightly warm. Hopefully that doesn't become too big of an issue. :)

That mild heat in the corner is more normal than it feels, but it can still be worth checking before it becomes a habit. I had a similar warm-spot issue with a larger tablet and it improved after I changed case airflow and reduced thermal pressure. Start with no case, then set brightness to auto and disable background widgets that run on repeat while class apps are open. Update the tablet software, test again in portrait and landscape, and keep gaming sessions short with cooldown pauses because heat can show up only after the heavy frame spikes. If warmth keeps rising with routine note use, a basic warranty review is likely the safest route before replacing hardware.

Yeah, I should probably just buy a warranty just in case. Only a quarter of the tablet's overall price, so just in case it breaks.
Don't know if I can do that post delivery, though. :/

I'm really loving mine also, especially the fact that it can be used as an extended display with my laptops. When you go price 13" portable monitors with high-resolution, 500 nit, 120Hz, touchscreen displays, you realize what a real value this very complete Android tablet is. I also love that there is essentially *no* bloat on it at all. Turn off instant web games and uninstall the Walmart app, and this this is just as close to stock Android as it gets. Also, 3:2 aspect ratio! So much better for reading pdfs or sheet music than the ubiquitous tall skinny displays.
There are numerous Android tablets in my household, from cheap and practically disposable tablets up to Samsung S-series and Lenovo Idea Tab Pros, and despite this, the Onn 13.2 has quickly become one of my favorites.
Only downside I've found so far is that it doesn't appear to have circle to search (CTS), which is something I often use when reading since it's so much better and faster for looking up a word than any alternative I've found (just hold the home bar to bring up CTS, then just touch the word of interest). It's surprising because I also picked up the new 8" tablet (which is also excellent by the way) and that received an immediate update that added it.
Regardless, Walmart/Onn really did an excellent job on these this year.

so the 8", same walmart/onn brand, has it? If so, yours might be getting an update soon! Is the extended display at the hardware level? (no software app)

The 8" Onn does have Circle to Search, yes, after a recent update.
And the 13.2" extended display is just a toggle away in quick settings. No additional software required. You have the choice of full screen or , "default", which makes your imported display just another open window of many on the tablet.
The extended display seems to always default to duplicating the main display, so remember to use Win key + P and choose Extend (if on a PC).
Also - unlockable bootloader! Every Android tablet should have it.

You might try just going to a Walmart near you and asking. I bought mine from a store that claimed to be sold out online. (I picked up the 13.2" and 8" when both were listed as sold out.) The woman I purchased from said there is a lag between their inventory updates and what appears online. I mentioned I thought that was unusual, thinking that today everything is updated in real time or close to it. She agreed but said that it was definitely happening with their tablet inventory.

How much additional storage can you add? I haven't found that information anywhere.
I'd mostly use it for comics.
Thanks in advance.

I got one last Monday. I'm more than impressed. Build quality is good. it's thin and I'm assuming the chassis is aluminum. Much nicer than the plastic Amazon tablets. Screen is very bright. It was at about 1/3 brightness out of the box and I was surprised at how much brighter it got. No real bloatware. Synched to my Android phone with zero problems. Quad speake4# work well emough and are loud enough. The ability to use it as a second screen is a very nice bonus. Nice work, Walmart.

How does the second screen work? Do you just plug it to a pc and select a mode, or do you jeed to install something?

I just connected it to my MacBook Air with the USB-C cable and the MacBook recognized it and walked me through it.

Does this tablet have a feature that's similar to Samsung DeX or Lenovo productivity mode?

No, tried it. Also enabled developer mode and I could not find a google desktop setting.

Just picked one up and while I am impressed at the specs and fluidity of the OS (and how close it is to stock Android), I can't get over the quality of the LCD screen - the colors seem a bit off and the it's as if the sharpening slider was maxed out, leading to unclear text and a bit of eyestrain. That and the speaker quality. They were *that* close! 😛

I agree. I'm impressed with mine. It gets so much brighter than my pixel tablet. Build quality is beyond what I thought would be possible at this price point.
